Harrison High School String Ensemble Earns Fourth Consecutive Gold Rating at NYSSMA Festival
For the fourth consecutive year, the Harrison High School Strings Ensemble earned a Gold Rating at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Major Ensemble Festival, continuing a tradition of musical excellence. Performing one of the most challenging classifications in the NYSSMA rating system, the ensemble demonstrated exceptional artistry, and skill. A voluntary extracurricular group open to students in grades 9-12, the Strings Ensemble practices weekly outside the school day. Earning a Gold Rating reflects not only the students’ talent and hard work, but also the strong culture of commitment, collaboration, and high standards that has become a hallmark of the ensemble under the extraordinary leadership of Mr. Bastone.
