More than 300 HCSD Students Perform at the Ninth Annual String Extravaganza
On Tuesday, March 19th, the Harrison Central School District 5th-12th grade orchestra students gathered together on the stage of the high school’s Performing Arts Center for the Ninth Annual String Extravaganza.
The focus of this year’s concert was the 2024 Olympics, featuring works from around the world to honor the international spirit the Olympics represent. All 322 orchestra musicians from Harrison Avenue, Parsons, Preston and Purchase Elementary Schools, LMK Middle School, and Harrison High School, conducted by the district’s orchestra teachers, Mr. Bastone, Mr. Bennett, Ms. Galletti, and Dr. Tanaka-Suwan, delighted a full house of family and community members with their performances.
