Visit to the Harrison Food Pantry
NYS Senator Shelly B. Mayer had the opportunity to visit the Harrison Food Pantry last month to see the important work they do to support local neighbors. There is tremendous need throughout all communities and they count on their municipal partners and volunteers to help fill the gaps. Thank you to Catherine Tammaro, Director of Community Services for the Town of Harrison, Laura Short, Director of the Harrison Food Pantry, and all the volunteers for their work and for the invitation to visit.
Revolution and the Sound Shore
Mayer joined the Revolutionary Westchester 250 reception at Wainwright House in Rye to celebrate the role the Sound Shore communities played during the Revolution and to prepare for the 250th Anniversary next year. Many thanks to everyone involved in planning this commemoration and Mayer looks forward to celebrating next year. She is proud to have sponsored the legislation creating the 250th Commission and this effort.
