Manhattanville College and Academic Partnerships Launch Online Degree Programs

In a continuing effort to diversify its educational offerings, Manhattanville College will launch a portfolio of online degrees supported by Academic Partnerships (AP), beginning in January 2023.

The new online undergraduate and graduate level programs will complement Manhattanville’s existing business and nursing programs designed to appeal to students who are seeking alternative options to a traditional college education. Online programs are currently being developed in all three academic schools at Manhattanville.

Manhattanville is designing the nine online business programs and one online graduate nursing program with working professionals in mind, especially those who wish to expand their careers but need the flexibility to balance both personal and professional goals.

“We are seeing increasing evidence that students need flexibility in both time and location to pursue their academic goals,’’ said Interim President Louise Feroe, Ph.D. “While there are indeed students who seek a traditional residential campus experience, there are others looking for options that fit in with their busy lives. These programs address those needs making a college education more accessible to a variety of populations – with short sessions within terms and an asynchronous course delivery model. Our faculty have developed expertise in online delivery over time, and it has been refined and tested throughout COVID. We are excited to be able to offer high quality courses to an expanding group of students.”

Careers in business and nursing are growing in popularity as job opportunities in these areas continue to expand. Business and Finance have always been areas of strength for the college which offers a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management as well as master’s degree and accelerated masters’ degree programs. Manhattanville offers two undergraduate degrees in nursing, a Family Nurse Practitioner program, and a Radiologic Technology program.

Applications are being accepted now and online courses start January 17, 2023.

More online programs will be developed over the coming year, including some in education. Manhattanville and its faculty will ensure academic quality by managing all aspects of teaching, curriculum, and course content, while AP will assist with prospective student outreach and will work collaboratively in a consultative role with faculty to help convert their courses to an online format.

Manhattanville College is committed to providing a diverse, inclusive, and nurturing environment which develops in each student a commitment to service and leadership within a global community.
