Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester to Hold 10th Annual Bowl for Kids
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester will hold its 10th Annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake event on Tuesday, June 6th, at Bowlero Lanes in White Plains. The event is a fun-filled evening of bowling with a purpose, as funds raised will support mentoring programs for at-risk youth in Westchester and Putnam counties.

Second County Envirothon Held
On May 12, local students participated in the 2023 Westchester County Envirothon at Sal J. Prezioso Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem.

Manhattanville Dance Students on PBS
Manhattanville College dance students and their professor were featured on the PBS educational program “Let’s Learn” on May 25. Professor and Program Director Shawn Bible developed the educational segment to teach kids math concepts after he was approached by PBS. “Let’s Learn” helps children ages 3-8 with at-home learning.

Harrison School’s Music Education Program Receives National Recognition
Harrison Central School District was honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation for outstanding commitment to music education.

HHS Students Compete at Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair
Harrison High School students and Science Research Scholars, Lauren Davidson and Alissa Remeza qualified to compete in the prestigious Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. Lauren also placed in the top 300 of the Regeneron Science Talent Search this year and were selected from nearly 2,000 students from across the country.

2023 National Merit Scholarship Winners
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) has announced this year’s National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners. The 2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 outstanding Finalists in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Griff '25 Collects First Men's Tennis All-NESCAC Team Selection
Hamilton College’s Connor Griff ’25 (Purchase/Harrison HS) has been selected for the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team.
