Join the PFL Foundation. The library is looking for folks to join the PFL Foundation.  Help with fundraising, procuring donations, and securing endowments to enrich print resources, programs, services, and technology.

 

African Art.  Saturday, February 11, 1:00 pm. The Neuberger Museum presents its permanent collection of African art. Take an online “walking tour” of traditional masks, instruments, sculptures, ceremonial headdresses, and textiles representing over thirty cultures in Central Africa.  Zoom event.  Adults. Valentine’s Dance.  Saturday, February 18, 3:30 pm. Stanley and Traci are back from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio!  Put on your happiest shade of pink and red, then join for a fun afternoon of music and dance.  This jointly hosted event between the Purchase Free Library and the Harrison Public Library will take place in the community room of the Harrison Public Library.  In-person event.  Children, teens, adults.

 

The Real Book Club.  Thursday, February 23, 6:00 pm. The selection for February is Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan.  “Mad Honey is a riveting novel of suspense, an unforgettable love story, and a moving and powerful exploration of the secrets we keep and the risks we take in order to become ourselves.”  (Penguin Random House, 2022) Zoom and in-person event.  Adults.
