Manhattanville University President Included in Hudson Valley Power 100 and 2024 Power Players in Education Lists
Manhattanville University President Frank D. Sánchez, Ph.D., Manhattanville’s 15th president and its first Latino president, continues to garner accolades as he leads Manhattanville into the future. Now, Dr. Sánchez has been included in the “City & State New York” Hudson Valley Power 100 list as well as the “PoliticsNY” and “amNY Metro” 2024 Power Players in Education list.
“City & State New York”, a media organization dedicated to covering New York’s local and state politics and policy, released its Hudson Valley Power 100 list in October and listed Dr. Sánchez among the top leaders in the region. The “City & State New York” power lists feature notable New Yorkers, including government officials as well as movers and shakers who regularly interact with state and local government and are engaged in the political process.
“PoliticsNY” (online) and “amNY Metro” (print) released the 2024 Power Players in Education list on October 30th. The list honors individuals in New York City and State who champion progress and success in all forms of education. It includes a diverse range of educational leaders, from presidents of educational institutions to directors of nonprofits, and policymakers.
“Manhattanville is on the move, and I’m delighted that the ‘City & State New York’ Hudson Valley Power 100 list as well as the ‘PoliticsNY’ and ‘amNY Metro’ 2024 Power Players in Education lists are recognizing the University’s momentum. It’s a privilege to be acknowledged among so many incredible leaders who are making a real impact on the future of education in our region,” said Dr. Sánchez.

Under his leadership, Manhattanville has seen unprecedented student growth, evolved from a college to a university, and received numerous awards and accolades attesting to Manhattanville’s exceptional return on investment. Manhattanville has recently been recognized by “U.S. News and World Report,” “Forbes Top 500 Colleges – #396,” and “The Princeton Review” best colleges lists. The university has also recently expanded its learning opportunities in Florence, Italy, and, later this year, President Sánchez will be traveling to Lisbon, Portugal to begin forging a new international collaboration.
