Summer Reservations Open for Trails Without Limits Program

Summer reservations are now open for the Westchester Parks Foundation (WPF) Trails Without Limits program at Cranberry Lake Preserve in West Harrison this August. This free program allows individuals who may be living with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, amputation, paraplegia, arthritis, cardiac issues, joint replacements, or have other mobility concerns the opportunity to hike the trails of Westchester County Parks with the use of the program’s All-Terrain Trackchairs that can be used on dirt trails, mud, sand, and grass.

The All-Terrain Trackchair program is offered at no cost to the user. Individuals with their family, friends, and/or caregivers will experience an approximately 1- to 2-mile hike guided by a WPF volunteer. The Adaptive Hike Program is meant to be used by park visitors who need hiking assistance to experience a rustic hiking trail. Because of limited availability, it may only be reserved by those who find it difficult to experience the designated trail without assistance.

Sessions must be reserved in advance. Visit www.thewpf.org/trailswithoutlimits to make a reservation. Registration forms must be completed and submitted no later than 48 hours after registering and emailed to office@thewpf.org.
