Interfaith Prayer Service in Solidarity with Ukraine Held in Downtown White Plains

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) Westchester/Fairfield Regional Office; Westchester Jewish Council (WJC) and Westchester Human Rights Commission hosted a multi-faith Community of Conscience prayer ceremony in solidarity with Ukraine at the Outdoor Plaza, 111 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., White Plains on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Humanitarian Drive Held in Partnership with New York Medical College

Standing in solidarity with the innocent people who are suffering in Ukraine, Westchester County Government joined with New York Medical College to host a humanitarian drive. 

Harrison Resident Joins Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association

Harrison-based Rightirement Wealth Partners announced that Harrison resident Byrke Sestok, CFP®, has begun serving a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association, which serves over 19,000 members. His term began January 1, 2022 and will continue through December 31, 2024. 

ArtsWestchester Announces 2022 Arts Awards

ArtsWestchester has announced five honorees who will be spotlighted at its annual Arts Awards Celebration to be held in-person at Brae Burn Country Club on Wednesday, April 6 at 12pm.  

‘Visions of Home Lands’ Art Exhibition

A collection of original paintings, entitled “Visions of Home Lands”, by local artist and Hearts & Homes for Refugees Board member Lori Kapner Hosp will be on exhibition at the White Plains Library Museum Gallery from April 3 through May 27, 2022. 

Highlights of Events at the Harrison Public Library

The Harrison Public Library has many exciting events planned for April including a Chair Yoga Series on Tuesday, April 5 and 19 at 11 am, Online. Alka Kaminer has been a dedicated student of yoga for the last 15 years, during which she became a certified teacher in multiple areas. She practices several styles of energy healing and received certification in Reiki 9 years ago.

The Hundred Acre Wood Exhibit “Forest Friends,” comes to Lasdon Park, Arboretum, and Veterans Memorial this spring. The new exhibit is scheduled to open Saturday, April 9, and runs select days and times through Sunday, May 29.
